Self AwarnessPosted: October 12, 2013
This BBC documentary interested me further in our mindset of human being. It opens up the debate to what really makes you, you, and how do we really know what we are aware of. The separation between us and animals is this unique sense of self-awareness. However, it has to be said the price we pay for self-awareness is death awareness, one day our conscientiousness will disappear forever. When I discuss self-awareness I mean this private world all of us engage with on a daily basis. Our memories and thoughts are something that are detached from the rest of the world and I find this particularity interesting. I want to explore this hidden or private aspect of humanity and in particular the ugly parts of human nature.
How many of us lie, how many of us choose to deceive?
